We offer feeding program for our learners and we maintain a Gulayan sa Paaralan (School Vegetable Garden).

BARANGAY CENTER- The most common illnesses among our students are cough and colds, toothache and fever.

We prioritize foods and medicines
Socio-Economic: What resources (material or human) do you find difficult to procure/purchase during this time? How do you respond to this difficulty?
Both materials and human resources are lacking for some students. Their parents do not have work to earn a living. The parents tried to prioritized only the food to feed their family and reduce the use of some things to purchase.
Socio-Cultural: What are the cultural identities of the students in the school (Bisaya, Ilocano, Ilonggo, Badjau)? Common dialect is used in the school community?
Most of our students are Bisaya and we have also badjao.
Environment: What is the state of the environment in the community? Are wastes disposed of accordingly? Describe the conditions.
Our school, as well as the community, are using the recycling method as one of the best methods of waste disposal which helps preserve and protect the environment.
Peace and Order: How would you describe the peace and order of your area? What are the common disputes in your school community? Where is the nearest Police Station or Armed Forces detachment? Who are the identified mediators (peacekeepers) in the school?
Hapsay ang community sa Matina Aplaya because the Barangay Chairman and officials, with the help of barangay police and tanods, develop and promote peace and order. They are also pro-active and vigilant against groups or individuals who promote violence. They help maintain the peace and order of the community. The nearest Police station is in the Barangay Hall proper. Our school mediators are the Guidance Coordinator, GAD Committee, and the school principal.

Feeding Program and Gulayan sa Paaralan are implemented by the Department of Education and the Barangay.
Davao City Lion's Club Organization and SM Shoemart in Ecoland.
Challenges and Interventions
What are the current problems/pressing issues currently encountered by school community in relation to the Covid19 Pandemic?
We currently encounter the new system of teaching which is using the online classes. Many of the students here in Matina Aplaya are below poverty (or hirap sa buhay). They can't afford to buy gadgets and they lack an internet connection. Online classes are a huge challenge for the students.
Based on the identified problems/issues, what are the perceived needs of the community? In addition, what are the possible interventions to these issues could the school implement?
Maybe it is best to use the modular modality or blended modality with the use of flashdrive, tv, and radio.

How can the partnership (between ADDU JHS and the school community) assist in the implementation of possible intervention?
the AdDU can help the students by augmenting the purchase of flashdrive to be used by the pupils.

How can the school community assist the ADDU JHS students?
Help the students protect from contamination of virus by giving or donating PPE and other materials like alcohol.

What considerations should the ADDU JHS Community observe while working with the school?
Use PPE or gamitin ang tamang paraan to be protected from COVID19.
